Abstract

Nowadays, with the boost of renewable generation systems, stationary storage is becoming a necessary tool, and electrochemical batteries are a suitable technology to store electrical energy. In particular, deep-cycle lead-acid batteries are the most widely used for photovoltaic or wind power systems; however, misinformation about their operation and maintenance can impair their functional state and their early disuse.Derived from the above, it is proposed the design of a monitoring system of electrical variables to determine the state of charge by experimental validation based on the behavior of its discharge under different electrical loads.
